About Us
Students at Questa Junior/Senior High School are provided with academic opportunities to learn from highly-qualified teachers in the content areas of Mathematics, English, Spanish, Science, and Social Studies. Students in grades 11 and 12 are given the opportunity to take courses at the UNM Taos Campus each Friday and earn college credit for the courses offered. Students enrolled in Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Advanced Biology, Environmental Science, and Spanish are able to receive dual-credit; which means that they recieve both high school credit as well as college credit. For more information on our dual credit courses, you may contact Mrs. Lynn Galusky at the counseling office (lgalusky@questa.k12.nm.us). Questa Junior and Senior high students also have elective courses in Fine Arts, Industrial Arts, & Technology. We are proud to announce that Questa High School received a designation of MET on New Mexico's Adequate Yearly Progress report provided by the State Department of Education. We are committed to continue on our path to provide opportunities for our students to succeed at the Questa Junior/Senior High School.
The Athletic Department at QJHS provides opportunities for male and female students to join in sports in the fall, winter, and spring seasons. Available sports for our athletes include Football, Soccer (co-ed), Volleyball, Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Baseball, Track (co-ed), and Cheer/Dance. For more information on our Athletic programs you may contact our Athletic Directors Mrs. Valerie Trujillo and Cruz Chavez.
